Holly’s International Shanghai's first auction of Chinese and Western contemporary art sold significantly in the post-70s generation and youth generation sold more than 80%
At 16:00 on November 12th, Holly’s International (Shanghai) held its first season auction "Special Show of Chinese and Western Contemporary Art" as scheduled. The auction gathered not only popular artists from China's post-70s, 80s and 90s market, but also a number of cutting-edge Western artists, while setting up a NFT digital art special. One hundred and eighty-five lots were sold at auction, with a total turnover of RMB60.4231 million. Strikingly, the turnover of the "post-70s +" youth generation art force (artists born in 1970 and later) accounted for 87.03% of the total turnover; Matthew Wong's White Light topped the market with RMB17250000 .
The young artists of "post-70s +" set a new auction record
A number of young artists, such as Jigger Cruz, Kitti Narod, Yan Zhancheng, Ronald Caringal, Sabina Maria Grzyb, Wu Wei, Zhang Ben, Bartosz Michal Hoppe-Sadowski, Joshua Paige and other young artists set new auction records, accounting for nearly 20% of the "post-70s +" young artists.
The NFT has made a great deal
The auction volume of NFT was RMB15.66 million, of which the CryptoPunk # 6388 was sold for RMB 7.475 million and Leonardo's Vision was sold for RMB7.245 million .
