In July 10th, Christie presented a global live auction, the first auction of its kind — relayed in sequence from four time zones area around the world. The work “Nude With Joyous Painting” is one of the most important painting from Roy Lichtenstein’s nudes series in his later period. Its first time in auction house sets a record of $46.24 million, which makes it second top of market price in worldwide.

Top3: San Yu’s nudes painting sold at $32.91 million

San Yu is raising up waves in auctions at Asian market, his oil painting “Five Nudes” was sold for $HDK 303 million at Christie’s Hong Kong in 2019 which became the Top 12 high priced art. 2020 San Yu’s later work “Quatre Nus”, one of the most valuable piece from his nudes series has been showed at Southeby’s Hong Kong, and sold over $HKD 258 million($32.91 million). Its price has been increased by 15 times within 15 years, the annual rate of return has reached 20%. This painting is the second highest priced piece from all San Yu’s works, and it is the third most expensive art ever sold in global context.
