Hong Kong Guardian Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art got HK $143 million

On April 23, 2021, Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art was officially raised in Hong Kong Guardian , China, with HK $4.3 billion and 20% transaction rate. Among them, Yoshitomo Nara's Sprout got HK $19.7 million to win the top of the sale, while Li Chen's Dragon-riding Buddha sold for 28 people and for HK $17.95 million, setting a new auction record for artists. In addition, many artists, such as Huang Benrui, Liang Renhong, An Mingyang, and so on, set new personal records.

Yoshitomo Nara merges the two representative series of Sprout and Little Pilgrim (Night Walking), the masterpiece of classic elements, Sprout, estimated at HK $12 million to HK $22 million, with HK $17 million and a commission of HK $19.7 million won the top of the deal.

Li Chen's Dragon-riding Buddha tops the auction history with a grand height of 330 centimeters, and stands in the world. The lot was estimated to be worth HK $5.6 million to HK $12 million. After a fierce auction, 28 bidders sold for HK $17.95 million, setting a new auction record for artists. (on October 7, 2019, Li Chen's Dragon-riding Buddha sold at China Guardian for HK $11.19 million, making it the most expensive one for Li Chen, with a size of 248x163x196cm.
