Caissa Besseiche (Asia) Art Centre was established in Beijing in 2010. It is a Sino-French joint venture art organization under the Beijing Caissa Culture Communication Co., Ltd. It mainly engages in business including agency for artists, dealing of artworks, art exhibitions and book publications etc. Since its establishment, the company has successfully organized and participated in many large-scale activities so as to establish the image of its brand. In April 2011, together with the Tourist Ministry of Italy, Caissa Besseiche arranged for ten outstanding Chinese artists including Jiang Ji'an and Xu Hualing to go to Italy for exchanges as well as creating a series of artworks with the theme of "Italy in the eyes of Chinese artists", promoting mutual understanding and exchanges between the Chinese and Italian cultural and artistic perspectives. From July to October 2011, the Tourist Ministry of Italy held three large-scale promotive activities in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, exhibiting 34 artworks by the artists, all of which were permanently collected by the Italian government. In September 2011, Caissa Besseiche participated in the 2011 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair and hence made its debut in China. During the exhibition, Jiang Ji'an's Self-Portrait of Silk series won wide applause. The works by the European art master Modigliani that were collected by the company received significant attention. In October 2011, holding its motto of "artistic", "international" and "academic", Caissa Besseiche held "Modern Echo- Modern and Contemporary Art of France" exhibition in Beijing Times Art Museum, receiving recognition and praise from the media and the industry. With the aim of promoting contemporary Sino-French art exchanges, the exhibition carefully selected and displayed more than one hundred works by almost thirty French artists, presenting the condition of the development of contemporary European arts. It provided an opportunity for the vast number of art lovers to closely appreciate European artworks, promoting the profound exchanges and dialogues between Chinese and foreign arts. As an art organization devoted to spreading the values of Chinese and Western cultures and arts, Caissa Besseiche (Asia) Art Centre provides vast and open platforms of exchange for artists and collectors of Europe and Asia, aims at promoting outstanding Chinese and overseas artists, and precipitates exchanges and cooperations between different cultures and arts, hence transmitting the values of culture and art!
