O2art is delighted to announce “Spring Group Exhibition - Whispers of Entropy,” running from February 22 to March 22, 2025.

Eight artists—Chen Gaojie, Liu Fangxiang, Liu Ourui, Meng Qingjun, Su Yuming, Xu Tanghao, Zhang Haoyan, and Zhou Chi—will present their works as both “archaeologists” and “dreamweavers.” By appropriating the meticulous order of miniature paintings, the raw tension of primal totems, and the enigmatic essence of abstract calligraphy, they graft historical genetic elements into the fabric of contemporary culture. Through collage, recombination, and narrative rumination, the seemingly contradictory visual grammar deconstructs deterministic historical narratives. Ultimately, the works metamorphose into a collective ritual that transcends time and space: shattered timelines, hijacked iconography, and resurrected spiritual imageries, all coalescing into a permanent dreamscape.

Under a phantasmagoric aesthetic framework that blurs reality and illusion, the hybrid of the grotesque, the arcane, and the mundane transforms visual consensus into a crucible that ferments collective sensory memory. Their works resemble alchemical experiments that traverse from primitivism to hallucinatory metropolises, from cross-civilizational vistas to corporeal explorations, transmuting the ineffable existential experiences into eternal manifestations and rearticulating the surreal nature of contemporary being. Here, to witness is to partake; to perceive is to reconstruct.
