可以·幕后计划第五回——李文斌个人项目「眼前看到的就是真的」将于1月31日在第零号筒仓开幕。此次展览将单独呈现艺术家的近10件纸本创作,展期将持续至3月15日。

Ke Yi · Behind the Scenes Project: Episode V—Li Wenbin's Personal Project What's in front of you is real will open on January 31 at Silo Zero. The exhibition will present nearly ten recent works on paper by the artist and will remain on view through March 15.

“眼前看到的就是真的”是李文斌在当下生活中的切身感受。现实的困境、时间的流逝、情绪的波动与人际之间的微妙关系,被打乱在同一处交叠,并且以强烈的包裹感将人围于其中。在这样的状态下,“所见”与“所信”并不总是一致,多数人往往在表象与内心判断之间反复思考。此次展览的标题并非对“真实”的肯定式判断,而是对这种被现实裹挟、尚未理清处境的理性呈现。人始终是李文斌聚焦的表达对象,他们或成为某种情境的承载,或凝结为一种情绪的状态,更多时候,是面对当下时的犹疑与自问:眼前这一切,究竟该如何继续?这些人没有明确的行动指向,而是停留在思考、困惑、迟疑或放空的瞬间。

What's in front of you is real emerges from Li Wenbin's immediate experience of living in the present moment. The dilemmas of reality, the passage of time, emotional fluctuations, and the subtle dynamics of human relationships are disrupted and layered within a single field, enveloping the individual with an almost oppressive intensity. In such a condition, what is seen and what is believed do not always align; more often, one finds oneself circling between outward appearances and inner judgment. The exhibition title does not propose an affirmative claim about "‌reality," but instead offers a lucid articulation of a state in which one is caught within real circumstances, still in the process of sorting through them. It reflects a condition of being carried along by reality rather than having fully arrived at clarity. The human figure remains central to Li Wenbin's practice. At times, his figures function as vessels for particular situations; at others, they condense into states of emotion. More often still, they embody hesitation and self-questioning in the face of the present: how, exactly, is one meant to continue from here? These figures are not oriented toward decisive action, but linger instead in moments of thought, confusion, pause, or emotional suspension.

彩铅、色粉与水彩作为艺术家长期使用的主要媒介,使这种状态得以被细致保留下来。画面以略带断裂的方式展开,不同的人存在于私密空间中,记忆、感受与现实同时出现。细密的线条构成人物形体,色彩被水稀释,刻意在身体表面留下光斑,让人物看似失去重量,逐渐趋于半透明。情绪与意识取代了关注的焦点,成为画面中不可能被忽视的感受性存在。

在这些作品中,李文斌一直在试图捕捉那些理不清道不明的内外联结,并在笔触与色彩之间追逐一种视觉意义上的“真实”。他想要传递的并不是某个答案,而来自持续的注视——既看见眼前的“真”,也听见内心的声。在不确定之中仍选择向前,这本身便是对真实最诚恳的回应。

Colored pencil, pastel, and watercolor—media the artist has worked with over an extended period—allow this state of being to be carefully preserved. The compositions unfold in a subtly fragmented manner: different figures inhabit intimate spaces where memory, sensation, and reality appear simultaneously. Fine, meticulous lines construct the human form, while color is diluted with water and deliberately leaves glimmers of light across the surface of the body, rendering the figures seemingly weightless, gradually approaching translucence. Emotion and consciousness displace narrative as the focal point, becoming a palpable presence within the image—one that cannot be ignored.

Across these works, Li Wenbin persistently seeks to grasp the indistinct connections between inner and outer worlds, pursuing a sense of "truth" through the interplay of mark and color, in purely visual terms. What he aims to convey is not an answer, but something that emerges from sustained looking—seeing the "real" before one's eyes while also listening for the voice within. To continue moving forward amid uncertainty is, in itself, the most sincere response to reality.
