Auction introduction: This season, Christie’s presents The Proximus Art Collection: Selected Works, an online-only auction open for bidding from 19 September to 3 October. As one of Belgium’s largest corporate art collections, the Proximus Art Collection adorned the spaces of the Proximus headquarters in Brussels for many years. The collection includes approximately 600 works by Belgian and internationally renowned artists, focusing on contemporary painting and sculpture, photography and video art. Its aim has been to offer Proximus employees a source of inspiration and a refreshing view of the world within their daily working environment. The sale will include standout pieces by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Longo, Sol LeWitt, Thomas Ruff and Dirk Braeckman, among others. In total, more than 70 works of art will be offered. The proceeds will be used to further enhance the Proximus Art Collection.
