Auction introduction: We are looking forward to presenting our annual July Evening Auction of Old Master Paintings, which will encompass works representative of the vast span of Western art history. The offering includes a masterpiece by the greatest proponent of marine painting, Willem Van de Velde the Younger, depicting The Four Days’ Battle of 1666 during the Second Anglo-Dutch War, which has hung on loan in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, for the last decade.
