Auction introduction: Building on the success of our 20/21 June 2021 sales achieving $178,321,022, and highlighting the strength of the European art market, the artistic dialogue between Paris and London continues with a new edition of the 20/21 London to Paris week. The day sale held in Paris on June 29 will follow up, paying tribute to the unique place occupied by these capitals on the art market, and to the privileged relationship they maintain with European, Asian and American art collectors. This selection aims to create a dialogue between the paintings of the great representatives of abstraction, such as Debré, Poliakoff, Calder with a variety of more contemporary works, going from the pieces of Hartung or Combas, to those of Invader. Varying techniques and mediums, this sale also offers a large place to contemporary sculpture, represented by three iconic sculptures by Klein, alongside a Compression by César, a Nana created by Niki de Saint Phalle, as well as pieces by Baselitz, and Richier.
