Auction introduction: Contemporary Edition celebrates sought-after editions by established artists and emerging talents. Encompassing works from the late-20th century to the present day, early highlights of our upcoming sale include exciting editions by Banksy, KAWS, Gerhard Richter, Damien Hirst, Julian Opie and Bridget Riley.
This season, the auction has a strong focus on works by eminent British artists, including a grouping of contemporary British prints from an important collection which include Grayson Perry’s iconic Map of Days and American Dream, as well as Harland Miller’s Armageddon (large), and celebrated prints by Damien Hirst including Flumequine, Cineole and Doxylamine.
Recent Contemporary Edition auctions have achieved strong results for the above artists and further contemporary printmakers including David Hockney, Peter Doig, Christopher Wool, STIK, and trailblazing female printmakers Louise Bourgeois, Tracey Emin and Yayoi Kusama.
