Auction introduction: This year in July, Sotheby’s Hong Kong Modern Art Sales achieved a spectacular result of HK$883 million, championing the Asian art market. Modern Art Evening and Day Sales of Sotheby’s Hong Kong Autumn Sale will inaugurate in October, assembling Asian, European, modern and post-war masterpieces. The major highlight would be Sanyu's Nu and Fleurs dans un pot bleu et blanc, as well as Wu Guanzhong's Scenery of Northern China and Scenery of Guilin. It is the first time for true museum-class masterpieces by Sanyu and Wu Guanzhong to lead our blockbuster Modern Art Evening Sale. They will be joined together by works of Lin Fengmian, Chu Teh-Chun, Zao Wou-Ki, Lalan, Chen Ting-Shih, Richard Lin, Hsiao Chin, Li Huayi and other Asian masters, as well as European masters such as Georges Mathieu and Bernard Buffet, orchestrating the strongest ensemble of this season.
