Auction introduction: We are thrilled to present Sydney Denton's incredible collection of British and international ceramics this summer during our June Modern & Contemporary Art marquee week in London. One of the finest collections of studio and contemporary ceramics to remain in private hands, Sydney Denton amassed his collection across a lifetime of dedication to the craft of ceramics, particularly supporting living artists. The sale will be presented in two parts: the first a live sale for the highlights of the collection on 26 June, followed by a second online sale encompassing the remaining 200 works on 27 June. The live sale includes works by Magdalene Odundo, Hans Coper, Lucie Rie, John Ward, Liz Fritsch, Edmund de Waal, Jennifer Lee, and many others.
