Auction introduction: Sotheby’s is pleased to present an extremely rare collection of Kweichow Moutai. This is the second time Sotheby’s has offered an original wooden case of early 1970s export Moutai at auction in London. The last time one of these cases sold at a Sotheby’s auction it achieved a staggering £1,000,000. This auction contains not only an original wooden case of 1972 vintage Kweichow Moutai, but also numerous bottles from the early 1970’s.
