Auction introduction: Following the remarkable success of the Shanghai to London series, the 20/21 London to Paris edition will focus this June, for the second year, on the artistic affinities shared by Paris and London during the 20th and 21st centuries. The evening sale, held on June 28 in Paris, will feature masterpieces by key artistic figures of the past century and promises to be one of the highlights of our 20/21 London to Paris week. Following our December 2021 edition, which saw numerous records broken for both established and emerging artists, this new sale will bring together works from a rich period at the crossroads of modern and contemporary art. This selection highlights the diversity of media and subjects that absorbed and inspired a wide range of artists, from the most influential figures of the 20th century, such as Delaunay, Picabia, Dubuffet and Klein, to more contemporary painters and sculptors: Soulages and Pomodoro.
