Auction introduction: On 5 April 2023 Christie’s Paris will present Art Impressionniste & Moderne, an exciting auction with sections of modern works on paper and Impressionist and modern paintings and sculptures. The sale is led by an emblematic painting by Camille Pissarro, a sough-after Nabi oil by Maurice Denis and stunning modern works on paper by Gino Severini, André Derain and Henri Matisse. The majority of works in this auction come from distinguished private collections, each showcasing a different collecting perspective, but at the same time, an equally refined taste for Impressionist and Modern Art. Other highlights of the sale include a unique marble by Jean (Hans) Arp, a delicate bronze by Alberto Giacometti and impressive works by Pierre Bonnard, Auguste Herbin, Joan Miró, Maurice de Vlaminck - and many others to discover during our viewing that will open on 30 March.
