Auction introduction: This autumn, the Impressionist and Modern Art department at Christie’s France will be holding our annual Art Moderne sale during the much-anticipated Paris+ week in Paris. The sale is led by rare and sought-after works by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Kees van Dongen, Henri Hayden, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Bernard Buffet and many others. The majority of works in this auction come from distinguished private collections, each showcasing a different collecting perspective, but at the same time, an equally refined taste for Impressionist and modern art. Discover all this and more during our exhibition, which will open on 16 October. We also wanted to highlight a remarkable group of around ten sculptures by Rembrandt Bugatti, that will start the sale.
