Auction introduction: Coming to Christie’s New York this May, Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra – Selling Without Reserve, showcases paintings from the Baroque through to the 19th Century. Highlights include Gustave Courbet’s Castle of Chillon (Château de Chillon), Angelica Kauffman’s Penelope awakened by Euryclea, and Jan Brueghel II’s Landscape with a windmill, figures and houses.
