Auction introduction: This June Christie’s is proud to present Magnificent Jewels in New York on 7 June, immediately following The Magnificent Jewels of Anne Eisenhower. The sale features private collections showcasing thoughtful assemblages of signed jewels and impressive colored stones and diamonds. Notably, the sale offers two lots formerly from the Collection of Greta Garbo and jewels from the Rothschild Family including the late Baroness Edouard de Rothschild and the late Jacqueline de Rothschild Piatigorsky. Also featured is an important American collection centering on a striking selection of seven jewels by JAR. Other highlights include significant white diamonds and noteworthy colored stones.
