Auction introduction: This season, Christie’s 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale is proud to present seminal works by leading masters of the modern era as well as contemporary luminaries and emerging artists from around the world. The sale preview will be held from 21-26 May at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This evening sale is led by an important 1964 masterpiece, Zao Wou-ki’s 29.09.64. Other special highlights include Homme assis by Pablo Picasso and Nichols Canyon III by David Hockney. The sale will also feature prominent works by international artists such as Claude Monet, Yoshitomo Nara, Gerhard Richter, Yayoi Kusama, Zeng Fanzhi, Marc Chagall, Hilary Pecis and Natee Utarit.
