Auction introduction: The Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy sale brings together prominent private collections worldwide, including works by famous artists across hundreds of years of Chinese history. The top lot of the auction is Qiu Ying's masterpiece Celestial Mountains and Pavilions, previously in the collection of Zhang Daqian and his brother Zhang Shanzi. Meanwhile, we are very honoured to present two important collections from the United States: the collection of Professor Wen Fong and that of Anna Fang, wife of the renowned collector Wong Nan-ping. The sale presents over 110 paintings and calligraphy covering a wide range of periods and subjects, including a series of works by Emperors and Ministers, such as Dong Qichang's Bai Juyi’s Song of Long Regretfulness in Running Script.
