Auction introduction: Sotheby's London’s Prints Department is pleased to present their spring 2025 Prints & Multiples auction. Open for bidding online from 19–26 March, this sale showcases a curated selection of editioned works that exemplify the finest in modern and contemporary printmaking from the early 20th century onwards. The modern segment of the auction features striking and innovative lithographs, woodcuts and linoleum cuts by renowned artists such as M.C. Escher and Pablo Picasso, known for their transformative contributions to the field. The contemporary section includes an impressive selection of screenprints by America's Pop Art pioneers, including Andy Warhol’s complete Campbell’s Soup I and Electric Chairs portfolios, alongside Roy Lichtenstein’s Roommates, from Nudes Series. A selection of highlights from the auction will be exhibited in the galleries at New Bond Street between 21–26 March.
