Auction introduction: Sotheby’s is honored to host this benefit auction on behalf of the Norton Museum of Art. The Norton Museum of Art’s 2023 Benefit Auction includes more than 45 exceptional works from pre-eminent artists and the world's leading galleries. Lots include paintings, sculpture, photographs, works on paper, and more by artists such as Nacho Carbonell, Eric Fischl, the Haas Brothers, Neil Jenney, Ruby Neri, Angel Otero, Ed Ruscha, Claire Tabouret, William Turnbull, and many more. In addition to the online auction, a live auction at the Norton Museum of Art’s 2023 Gala on February 4 will include works by the following: Nick Doyle, Danielle Orchard, Richard Prince, George Rouy, and Marina Perez Simão. Bidders unable to attend in person will be able to submit absentee and phone bids, if registered with auction@norton.org by February 1. All auction proceeds benefit the Norton's curatorial, learning, and community engagement programs. Live and online auction items will be on view at the Norton Museum of Art beginning January 16, 2023. The Norton, located in West Palm Beach, Florida, is South Florida’s oldest art museum, with more than 8,200 works across five curatorial departments: American, European, Chinese, and Contemporary Art, and Photography. The Norton is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. Please note that while this auction is hosted on Sothebys.com, it is being administered by the Norton Museum of Art (the “Norton”), and all post-sale matters (inclusive of invoicing and property pickup/shipment) will be handled by the Norton. As such, Sotheby’s will share the contact details for the winning bidders with the Norton so that they may be in touch directly post-sale.
