Auction introduction: Sotheby’s Important Design sale presents a curated survey of Design, ranging from notable examples of Art Deco to Post-War and Contemporary Design. The sale is anchored by masterworks by Jean Dunand, Poul Henningsen, Les Lalanne, Shiro Kuramata and Marc Newson among others. Property from the Important Design auction will be on view in Sotheby’s New York galleries from December 7-11. Effective May 20th, 2024, Sotheby's has lowered its Buyer's Premium rates and removed Overhead Premium for all categories excluding Wine & Spirits.
