Auction introduction: Following the resounding success of Sotheby's Inaugural auction in Saudi Arabia in February 2025, we are thrilled to announce a second iteration of this historic sale. Taking place in the historic premises of Diriyah in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the home of the At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site, this auction will feature a variety of artworks and objects by Middle Eastern and International artists. Titled Origins II, the sale will feature Sotheby’s global offerings for new and seasoned collectors, providing a unique platform for the sale of museum-worthy and historically important examples of the finest artworks by key artists throughout art history. Prior to the auction, all items from the Origins II sale will be showcased in a public exhibition at Diriyah from 24–31 January, in a week-long celebration of art and culture. The auction follows Sotheby’s official incorporation in Saudi Arabia at the end of last year, and by the opening of an office in Riyadh's landmark Al Faisaliah Tower, designed by Norman Foster and famous for being the first skyscraper built in the country. Together, this marks the next step in Sotheby’s continued and long-term commitment to the region.
