Auction introduction: Featuring a selection of works from the 16th to the 19th Centuries from the Italian, French, Northern, and British schools, this online sale is led by two works from The Estates of Bernard and Helga Kramarksy: an important example of Guercino’s pen drawings; and a head study in red chalk by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Among the nineteenth-century works should be singled out a recently rediscovered watercolor by the German Romantic Caspar David Friedrich.
