Each piece reflects the collector’s deep engagement with the world of the Ming literati, embodying the period’s pursuit and appreciation of classical aesthetic ideals. Among the highlights is a rare and important huanghuali horseshoe‑back ‘grand master’ chair and footstool, 17th century, distinguished by its elegant proportions and refined craftsmanship. Also featured is a rare zitan scroll‑form low qin table, 16th–17th century, notable for its superb material quality and sculptural presence.
