Art Promotions sells Paintings, Prints, and Productions since 1989. Now located in Memphis, it primarily features the creations of American artist Karen Francis, the business owner. Authorized prints of her work are published by fineartamerica.com.  New product offerings include throw pillows and tote bags with her art designs on them.

Karen explores many styles in her work, with oil being her medium of preference. She paints, creates computer art and graphic designs and most recently concetrates on the cinematic canvas through film and video.

Ms. Francis led urban public art projects typically involving large numbers of people working together on a creation of an educational nature such as "A Valentine For The Earth", a multi-media ecology art sculpture.  She participated in several art exhibitions in Memphis.  

Karen graduated from KHS and Rhodes College and attended University of Memphis in the summers.  Following grad school at the University of Missouri she taught at the University of Georgia for two years then relocated to the Washington DC area.   She studied art at the Corcoran School of Art in DC, the Art League School in Alexandria, VA, The New York Art Students League, and George Mason Univ. in VA.   She returned to TN in 2005.   Her paintings and prints are in many collections throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In addition to painting, Ms. Francis produced a number of cable TV programs on the arts in Merrifield, VA, with other volunteers during the timeframe of 1989 - 1996.  She placed art of about sixty artists on the set of the program Metropolitan Magazine, and then hosted and interviewed artists and community leaders on the program Heart of the Matter at the FCAC public access station. These programs were sponsored by Art Promotions.

Currently, as producer, she is seeking acquisition, theatrical distribution, or advertising sponsors for the new film CHRISTMAS RIDE wider theatrical release. This feature film, CHRISTMAS RIDE, is rated PG by MPAA.  More at mpaa.org and filmratings.org.
