• 52% of the galleries had the same number of employees in 2021 as in 2020.
• 36% of the galleries saw a year-over-year increase in the number of employees in 2021.
• 12% of the galleries saw a year-over-year decrease in the number of employees in 2021.

Note: With the overall market performing well in 2021, galleries saw an increase in demand for human resources; one-third of the galleries hired more employees. In general, the number of gallery employees has increased steadily in Beijing.

  2. The Number of Employees Working in Galleries in Beijing

• 42% of the galleries had less than 5 employees.
• 40% of the galleries had 6-10 employees.
• 10% of the galleries had 11-20 employees.
• 8% of the galleries had more than 20 employees.

Note:  Most employees in Galleries in Beijing hold bachelor's and master's degrees or above. Galleries with more than half of art-major employees accounted for 50%. The stability of employees has been relatively high.
