French Post-Impressionist painter, inventor of the Pointillism style. Georges Seurat is an important figure of Neo-Impressionism. Born in Paris, he graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1879. He is good at drawing landscape paintings in the city and is also good at applying color theory to paintings. He divided the light color into several basic primary colors and used countless small dots to composed whole image. The painting is full of rational brushwork, which is very different from the wildness of Van Gogh and Cezanne's color blocks.
