Paul Gauguin
French artist, a representative figure of Post-Impressionism. Gauguin was born in Paris, lived and worked in Tahiti Island. His paintings often featuring local Tahiti women, accompanied by fruit offerings, flower patterns, woods and huts, etc. The color composition is full of the southern island country style, which was both primitive and mysterious meaning with symbolic meaning. His use of color led to the creation of Synthetism, and the influence of Partitionism also paved the way for the birth of Primitivism.
