Edvard Munch
Born in Leiden, Norway, Munch is a Norwegian Expressionist painter and printmaker, and graduated from Royal Academy of Art and Design in Oslo. Munch uses life, death, love, terror and loneliness as themes, and with contrasting lines, color blocks, and simplicity to summarize and exaggerate the expresses his feelings and emotions; his style is a prelude to the formation of Expressionism in Germany and Central Europe. His most famous work, The Scream, is considered to be a representative painting of Existentialism that expresses the suffering of human being.
