Wu Changshuo
Born in Huzhou City of Zhejiang Province, Wu Changshuo is a famous Chinese painter, calligrapher, and seal carver in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, representative of the "Houhai School", the first president of Xiling Seal Art Society in Hangzhou. Together with Liangyu and Zhao Zhiqian, they are the three representative members of the "New Zhejiang School". Together with Ren Bonian, Pu Hua, and Xu Gu, they are collectively known as the "Four Masters of the Shanghai School in the late Qing Dynasty". The subjects of his paintings are mainly flowers, and occasionally landscapes.
