A self-taught British painter, born in Dublin, Ireland. Bacon settled in London in 1929 and began to learn oil painting, watercolor painting and drawing. His works are known for their rough, violent and nightmare liked images. His distorted and blurred figurative paintings have made him one of the most controversial painters of postwar period. He also likes to reprocess famous paintings such as photographs, pictorials, and prints to create portraits that reflect his inner vision and pain.
