American painter and pop art master, born in New York, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Ohio State University. Lichtenstein is famous for his paintings that combined comics and advertisements. His works often featuring cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Popeye, etc. as the protagonists. Later, he imitated popular comics and created a series of romantic paintings with girls as the subjects. And a series of war paintings based on air combat.
