American artist, born in Manhattan, graduated from Yale University School of Art, usually referred to as a minimalist. Brice Marden's early works involved color field paintings, and later he was deeply influenced by Eastern art. He devoted himself to vividly integrating the charm of Chinese calligraphy into Western painting language. He used branches or other natural tools to replace brushes for creation, the iconic snake-shaped lines flow throughout the painting to achieve a more organic texture.
